My name is Yanni; I come from the northern part of Greece, near the Turkish-Bulgarian border. I have lived in Athens for more than 32 years. I am married and a father of two children. I have studied Tourist industry management & financial management strategy in Europe. I speak Greek, English & German. I worked in the tourist industry for 27 years in Europe and the Middle East; over the course of these 27 years, I have met and worked with people of more than 139 different nationalities.

However, during all those years working abroad, I always longed for my country, my family and my friends. In 1990, I decided to leave behind a successful career that I had in Europe and to return to my country. Once here, I began working as a hotel Manager in several hotels in the Greek islands of Santorini, Kos & Crete . However, I was still away from my family, so I decided to move to Athens.

There I took up work as a taxi driver, but I had not forgotten my original calling; I had the know how of tourist services and a deep understanding of the needs of tourists who were visiting my country. During the time I had spent working as a hotel manager, I had realized that the quality of transportation services in Greece left a lot to be desired. I decided to do something about it. The idea of Yanni athenstaxitours.org was born. I wanted to put my expertise to good use and let it become an added value to your vacations. I wanted to be useful and helpful to my clients. Over the past years I have studied and witnessed first hand the history of my country and I am very happy and proud to help you discover it for yourself. I have traveled around Greece together with my clients, rediscovering the glory of the ancient Greeks but also following in the footsteps of St. Paul the Apostle. In the course of these travels, I have helped many Greeks, living all over the world, to discover their roots in small villages in the Greek countryside.
