Description of the Five 5 Days private Greece tour

Day 1: Athens, Corinth, Epidaurus, Nafplion

Athens taxi tours will drive you along the coastal road of the Saronic Gulf until we reach the Corinth Canal with its breathtaking views (shortstop).

Our Greece private taxi sightseeing continues and shortly thereafter we reach the ancient town of Corinth (visit) where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. Back in ancient times, Corinth was amongst the richest cities and this is quite evident by its remains, including the agora (marketplace) and the Temple Apollo (6th C.B.C).

Visit Isthmian at the site of the ancient port of Kechreai where St. Paul disembarked.

Day 2: Nafplion, Sparta

Breakfast and it is time now to explore picturesque Nafplion!

One of the most beautiful towns in the area of Argolis (in eastern Peloponnese) as well as one of the most romantic cities all over Greece.  Our Athens taxi tour driver will show you to the pretty town of Nafplio, the first capital of Modern Greece.

Follow a dream trail to discover Náfplio’s precious gems starting from the medieval Old Town, the narrow cobblestone alleys, the neoclassical well-preserved mansions with the Bougainvillea trees adorning their yards and balconies, and the Turkish fountains.

Visit the Venetian fortress of Palamidi or wander around the old streets of Nafplion. According to mythology, the town was founded by Nafplios, the son of the god Poseidon and the daughter of Danaus (Danaida) Anymone.

The town’s history traces back to the prehistoric era when soldiers from here participated in the Argonautic expedition and the Trojan War alike. Ancient walls, medieval castles, monuments and statues, Ottoman fountains, and Venetian or neoclassical buildings mesmerize the visitor with their unique architecture and beauty.

The city of  Sparta was a city in ancient Greece between 650 B.C. and 362 B.C. during the Greco-Persian Wars, situated in the southern part of the Peloponnese.

The area around the town of  Sparta, the Plateau east of the Taygetos mountains, was generally referred to as Lakonia which term was sometimes used for all the regions under direct Spartan control, including Messenia.

Next, we’ll visit Mystras. Overlooking Sparta, on a steep hill is the archeological site Mystras. This is one of the six places designated by UNESCO, that we are able to visit during this trip to Greece.

It’s designed as a Late Byzantine fortified settlement, making it important enough to be on the World Heritage List. Overnight in Sparta.

Day 3: Sparta – Diros Cave – Monemvasia

Day 5: Monemvasia – Athens

Walking to the city you can observe the vigorous Venetian influence in decoration, even in the house’s chimneys that are built to the east side with balconies so as to admire the sea.

Return to Athens through the beautiful landscape of the Peloponnese.
